The difference between presentation and PowerPoint agencies

The small but subtle difference between presentation and PowerPoint agencies

Presentation agencies are usually much broader than PowerPoint agencies.

Presentation agencies support the presentation success of their customers even before the actual PowerPoint presentation. It starts with the conception of the content, the structure of the dramaturgy, the development of the staging, etc., and usually ends with the possibility to rehearse the presentation professionally and authentically, for example with a presentation training or a presentation coaching. In presentation training or coaching, topics such as appearance, stage, rhetoric, voice, body language, facial expressions, speech, etc. are trained in order to achieve the maximum effect on the audience. This is important, for example, in sales, marketing, corporate and PR presentations. In other words, it is about creating the maximum impact in order to “sell” products, services, strategies and ideas to the audience.

PowerPoint agencies usually focus only on the visual part and are fixated on PowerPoint. PowerPoint creation is also part of a presentation agency. Presentation agencies usually have their own departments that deal only with PowerPoint. In a sense, the PowerPoint agency is often a department within the presentation agency.

Since the presentation agency is broader than the PowerPoint agency, there are different fields of application, which is shown in the following table:

If I as a client am only looking for mechanical implementation with PowerPoint, a PowerPoint agency is perfectly sufficient. You provide the content and let the PowerPoint agency spruce up the slides. The presentation agency takes the approach of keeping the outcome or goal in mind and does not limit or restrict itself to PowerPoint and its capabilities.

At smavicon, we follow the approach of using innovative presentation approaches to visibly improve the result and clearly achieve the set goal of the presentation. The goals can be defined as, for example, more image impact, more turnover, more sales, more orders, more retention or even more enthusiasm.
Often foils are given a nice styling, but not even tested for their effect. We even went so far as to set up a study to measure and scientifically prove the foil effect with brain scans.

I think the difference between PowerPoint agency and presentation agency has become clear. Everyone should consider for themselves what claim they have and what they want to have implemented. The decision to use one agency or another depends on a number of factors. More about this here.
