PROFESSIONAL PRESENTATION

A
professional presentation
explains, convinces and sells. But what exactly is the difference between an amateur and professional presentation? In the targeted
preparation
! While many people plan, prepare and deliver their own presentations on the side and often in an unstructured way, others concentrate on giving their
presentation
on the basis of targeted steps. The result could not be more different. Below you will learn how to create a professional presentation in just four steps (every time).

1. AT THE BEGINNING THERE IS THE ANALYSIS

This first step is really essential for the later presentation success. In the analysis, you first determine the topic of your presentation and narrow it down precisely. After that, you will be clear about the presentation goals and clarify which framework parameters are given. The most important thing, however, is the targeted determination of the target group. There are various tools to analyze the exact target group. Always remember, knowledge of the target audience ideally flows into the content, design, as well as the appearance and presentation framework. Once you have that aligned, you can target your audience.

2. THE SECOND STEP SERVES THE CONCEPTION

The second phase, the conception phase, is primarily concerned with highlighting the core message. Subsequently, you should determine the essential contents, the chain of argumentation and the dramaturgy for a professional presentation.

3. NOW IT'S TIME FOR IMPLEMENTATION

Now that you have defined the structure, content and dramaturgy, you need to implement them by means of media design. In concrete terms, this means that you define or develop colors, shapes and layout. Always keep in mind that different target groups have different tastes and preferences. So don’t let your own tastes guide you too much.

For a professional presentation, it is also always essential to think about the framework that surrounds the presentation. So also think about the lecture room, screen and lighting atmosphere.

4. TRAINING, TRAINING, TRAINING

Why are some presenters better than other presenters? Because they practice consistently. The fourth step focuses on the presenter. More precisely, attention should be paid to the voice, facial expressions, one’s own body language and overall appearance. Because all of this also has a significant influence on the success of the presentation.
